The Advantages And Disadvantages Of An Exercise
Stepper
Over the last decade or so the importance of leading a fit and
healthy lifestyle has become more well known. This is largely due
to the publication of the fact on the television, and in magazines
and newspapers. There are constantly new diets and exercise regimes
being brought out, but one of the most popular and basic of all is
the exercise stepper.
This relatively basic piece of apparatus emulates the climbing of
stairs, without obviously having to walk up and down your own
stairs. Although extremely simple, it is a particularly effective
form of a cardiovascular work out. The actual action of stepping up
and down onto the step works both the quad and the calf muscles in
the legs, and the buttocks too.
The popularity of this piece of equipment grew drastically in the
last 10 or 15 years, especially with women. These three muscle
areas are ones that females particularly want to work on. As the
use of it is so effective, it has sold prolifically around the
world.
The beauty of this invention is that there is no room for you to be
taking a rest during your workout. With other machines such as the
exercise bike or even lifting weights, you have the ability to stop
exercising. With the stepper, although you can slow down the rate
of the work-out, you are continually burning calories the whole way
through using it.
